Bottle. Amber with a large cream head. Aromas are caramel malts with light pine and citrus. Hoppier than the weak version. Flavours are sweet biscuit malts with mellow lemon. Smooth iniitially followed by pepper and pine. fairly bitter on the finish. They should stop brewing the inferior non-IPA that they produce.

Thick head om an amber body. I love IPA and this is a good example. The taste is fittinhly hopped, sharp enough, and a beer I would drink again anytime.

Tried side by side with the 3.6% version. The colour was very similar, honey amber body, although the head was more compact and no lacing. Still light in body though a little bit sharper bite making it more enjoyable.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2007 (Bottle) Pours redish brown. Fresh, a bit fruity, malty aroma with some caramel and bread syrup. Light earthy undertones and maybe something floral. Flavour start syrupy malty with some toffee and caramel. Continnues light citrusy fruity and finish bready and light sourish. A bit buttery mouthfeel. Medium body. Not really on the hoppy side.

Haack (101) - Hornslet, DENMARK - NOV 30, 2006
Bottle: This is a good IPA from Suffolk. My first beer from Green King but surtently not the last! Darker in colour than a standard IPA, but smooth and creamy in taste with a touch of fruitiness about it. A little more bitter than your usual IPA.

This is an interesting little concoction from those country bumpkins at Green King up there in old "ooh aah" Suffolk. The label says its an IPA, but at export strength it has a bit more kick to it than your usual Indian Pale Ales. Darker in colour than your standard IPAs, but smooth and creamy in taste with a touch of fruitiness about it - a tad more bitter than your usual IPA with a musty taste that is quite simply charming! A nice ale that, as the bottle says, complements hot food inter alia chilli and especially curry. (I have knocked one of these out with a ruby on many ocasions as it makes an interesting altrernative to Cobra or ’Fisher!)

Splendid. Light but punchy. Hoppy enough to please the palate, but light enough to be refreshing. Dissapointing aroma and nondescript colour lose marks.

Bottle. Amber colour with a tan head. Sweet malty, lemon aroma and a sweet caramel malty, lemon, hop taste. Medium body with a sweet light dry finish.

Bottled - A copper coloured beer with no head. The aroma is hoppy with lemony notes and a touch of sweetness. The taste is quite bitter and actually fairly decent. Some nice citricity and good fruits. Not too shabby.
