2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 stefannilssons (811) - SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2012
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 stouby (3213) - Holbæk, DENMARK - AUG 12, 2012
Bottle at home.
Clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma medium malty (caramel, notes of wood), light hoppy (flowery). Flavor light to medium sweet, light bitter and spicy. Light body. This is NOT an IPA!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (3267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 6, 2012
500ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a small whie head that leaves a small amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and grass with some caramel. Taste is a citrusy and grassy hop bitterness with some caramel and a hint of fruity sweetness. A decent brew for the style, but nothing spectacular.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 klas (107) - SWEDEN - AUG 4, 2012
Didn’ty feel like an IPA. Only 5% ABV anf not much hop taste or aroma. Quite disappointed.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - JUL 23, 2012
Nice deep golden colour with a fine white head. Very caramel malty aroma. Unusual IPA. Even a british one. Mostly caramel malt flavour. Light fruity. Althoug a fresh and nice beer. But missed all the hopps. [Bottle from Systembolaget Nordstan in Göteborg, Sweden]
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 21, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours a brilliant clear deep reddish gold. A finger of lacing beige foam on top. Biscuity, light nutty sour-scented malt aroma. Earth and pepper notes from the hops. Watered down mouthfeel, weights in light. Light nutty/caramelly malt flavor. Sparesly hopped. Overall, a pretty decent Bitter. Probably more attractive from a well kept cask.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mzaar (892) - Varberg, SWEDEN - JUL 21, 2012
Ett stort lätt gult skum ovanpå en bärnstensfärgad öl. Rätt svag arom av smörkola, jäst och gräs. Lena smaker av citrus, smörkola och röda bär. Tämligen tråkig.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jimthechap (1195) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 8, 2012
A wonderful brassy amber colour with a rough vestige of off-white head. That same characteristic pale ale malt, dehydrated apricots, orange peel and spicy glace fruits. Sweet and full of wonderful body. Those aromatic aromas manifest themselves in the flavour along with a touch of allspice. Lingering English bitter finish makes this a tasty, dependable pint. Not the most technically complete beer for critical evaluation, but if I was stuck on a desert island with a case of this I’d be happier than without.
