Pour is a brown out of the clear glass bottle. Aroma is faint with some sweet caramel malts being the stongest thing i can detect. Flavor is much better with lots of earthy malts and a stong bitter hop. Its a decnt beer for a rating and it only cost around $3. If your looking for a hopped out the wazoo west coast IPA you will be dissapointed.

Bottle 50 cl, SB. Pours clear deep amber with a good fluffy beige head leaving lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel, bready, hoppy and a bit fruity. Flavor is malty, soapy, caramel in front with shortlived sweetness in the middle together with fruits where also the bitterness becomes more evident sustaining to the end with the fruity and malty parts. Finishes bitter dry.

Aroma and taste of hops with hints of grass and citrus, and malt with hints of fruit and caramel. A very "English" and nice IPA! However, a little thin in flavor, but that it’s also typical English ...

maekchu (174) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 28, 2012
500ml. bottle from the local Yamaya store. Sweet, and slightly sharp tart fruit pie aromas. Bright orange-brown, thick rocky head with good lace. A mild sweet initial gives way to a sourish metallic mid palate and then a mild bitter aftertaste. Watery, slightly sticky, and very little carbonation. Solid, pleasant, and unexciting. Sessionable, to be sure.

Schiuma bianca di media persistente. Limpida. Naso erbaceo con note di malti caramellati. In bocca inizialmente dolciastra, caramellata, con un finale secco tendenzialmente amaro

This bitter has the brewer’s signature aroma that combines grassy hopping with smokey caramel malt for a great overall nose. Then there’s the beautiful bright copper that’s often seen in English bitters. Heavy tan head, but not much of it sticks around. Unfortunately the flavor is way too sweet - almost a caramel bomb. Aside from that, it’s pretty downable. Needs a better hop ratio, but still better than the score indicates.
