Taste was sweet/sour malts, florals, and some spices, followed by the hops...Not bad...Not great, but drinkable. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2007 50 clE. Dark copper with a medium and lasting, sticky head. Aroma is slight molasses, marshmallow, and root spices. Initial flavor is really one of the most unexpected dry malty-sourish twangs ever, but I get used to it after three-four swigs, and I kind of like it. Maybe its Belgian horse-blanket? It seems to be the earthy, fruity hop flavor that is the difference maker; good or bad is a matter of opinion. Some pretzel, metallic and plastic notes. Also a bit river-bottomish or swampy methinks; kind of like a good catfish. There is definitely some dry, bittering hops in there. Palate is kind of smooth, dryish and light-medium bodied. This beer is definitely chock full of flavor, and is a hell of alot better than the cask version, but is not for everyone. Theis (3716), Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2007 My bottle shared with HogTownHarry and tupalev. Pours a clear dark orange with an average size diminishing off-white head. Mild flavour and aroma of sweet malt, light floral hops, some grain and fruit -- meh, somewhat dull stuff. Light bodied. Disappointing -- it’s drinkable but I expected better. davegore (202), liverpool, Merseyside, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Pours a golden amber, nice and clear. Not much of a head to speak of. Aroma of slight malt, noting too overpowering. Tastes ever so metallic then leads onto an almost tarty tangy thing, almost a grapefruit tang, finishing with some malt faroeviking (6025), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Bottle. From LIVA, Domhusvej, Kolding. Pours a clear amber with lots of bubbles reaching up to a small creamy off-white head.Aroma has caramel mixed with a little bitterness. Flavour is sweet, but with a peppery burning hops note. Not the longest aftertaste, nor the craziest regular taste. But it is nice, medium bitter, quite sweet and very fresh. I like it despite its mediority.
