Bottle from the LCBO. Nice dark copper colour with a medium sized slightly off-white head. Nice caramel and toffee notes in the aroma, with some mild citric hops. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, quite suitable for the style. Pleasant and balanced flavour that gives what the aroma promises. IPA or ESB? I don’t care, it’s just a good beer.

500ml bottle, 5% a/v Clear bottle, not good. Pours a deep reddy brown (I think I had a crayon this colour when I was a kid that was called Roan), nice off white head. The aroma is a bit malty and a medium amount of citrus and hoppy bitterness. The flavour is a bit malty but has a very nice backing of hops. It has a slightly watery mouthfeel but the aftertaste of hops more then makes up for it. This beer is very unapologetic, and it is what it is. As such, I enjoyed what it is.

IPA Export: It is definately different than an American IPA, couldn’t say if it’s close to the original IPAs of those times, but this beer was pleasant and went down pretty fast, nice aromas of caramel, bread, and butterscotch from the malts and yeast and back up by a mild floral hop aroma... all around a nice beer that allows you to get a take on a non-American IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some weak hints of hops. Has a long malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Pours a clear copper with nearly no head. Faint malty aroma. Glad it’s considered a bitter on RateBeer, as it’s certainly not an IPA. Tastes very malty, some diacetyl, light bitterness. Thin, reasonable carb. Pleasant but unremarkable.

Clear bootle. Pours a very clear amber colour, with a thick and fairly long lasting head and lots of carbonation. Lots of floral hops in the aroma with apple and pear notes. It’s so bready and sweet it’s like drinking cookies (surprisingly, not bad in an IPA). Hops follow through in the finish, building to be quite substantial. Medium bodied and a little resiny. Underrated.

500 ml fresh bottle. Yellowish with a decent white bubble head that leaves lace lines. A little below average aroma, a little cheesy it is. Medium mouthfeel cushioned by foamy malt. A decent bitterness, understated but increasing in intensity as it gradually overcomes the palate.

Curiously orangey-caramel color looks nice in clear glass bottle from LCBO. Pours with small head, carbonation is a little spiky. Taste begins rather ordinary then gets slightly interesting, I mean this is acceptable but SO many fucking beers have this carefully bitter hop middle rounded out with cautiously applied pale malts. Almost euro-lager aroma, this beer is likewise refreshing and forgettable.
