500ml bottle. Pours deep copper with very little head. Mild malty aroma. Light spice, a fair bit of caramel malt and moderate bitterness. Fairly short finish. Pretty average.

Not bad for one of the most generic real ales going. The sort of one you see going in a franchise pub or a huge mock Tudor pub off a slip road as a "hey look, we sell real ale now TAKE IT" option while children scrike and run around the place and the polite but thick waitress tells you the chef’s gone off even though it’s not yet 2pm. All I can currently think of it is a template of an IPA, which isn’t a bad thing. No, the reason Greene King IPA is a bad thing is that they close down smaller breweries. Also, I kept this in a can once for over a year before resorting to it, and the result was a completely ridiculously festy expired brew, which I used to scare my mates with before pouring down the sink.

Szép a színe de semmi több. Híg, savanyú, kommersz hullámokkal támad. Végén tűrhető keserűség. Ha nagyon beleszagolok érzek egy kis chinookot... talán... Nem IPA ez inkább egy snassz angol ale.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Palme (2252) - Bergen, NORWAY - SEP 17, 2012
0.5l can. This is a clear champagne-brown beer with a nice medium sized and heavy lacing off-white head. Some sweetness on the aroma, hints of peachy fruits and a little bit of bubblegum. Not extreme, but nice enough. Mild oily to watery mouthfeel, and it’s soft to average carbonated. Not to extreme in flavor really. Really low on the bitterness, it’s mild floral, some thin maltiness going on with a hint of something light burned. Ehm, this is quite a boring one - even for a English style IPA, but it does certainly not have any clear flaws. Drinkable. 03.08.2012
1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Cantabrian (383) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 5, 2012
Well, I did try, first to consider this a goold old version of "british IPA", as they evolved to be, before their re-birth with Meantime and others. Not a chance. Then I tried hard to at least like it. Poor appearance, with no head, aroma of some cheap malted syrup. Tastes the same, too sweet, no bitterness (why even classify it as a bitter then?). No detectable finish. Pretty hard to like anything about it. Even the Tui IPA, as sweet and non-IPA, is much better.

przeciętne IPA, zbyt mało chmielone by mogło posiadać tę nazwę, no ale cóż marketing działa masowo.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Doghair (122) - Illinois, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Lighter brown with a thin loose foam. Light scent of citrus orange apple from the hops. Maybe some malt. Taste is light malt and hops. Some caramel, biscuit and I get a little apple at the finish. More biscuit as it warms. Palate is light and carbonation is very minimal but it’s a cask pour. Overall un-exciting light session beer.

Bottle from Systembolaget in Torp, Uddevalla. Pours a clear bronze body with a small off-white head. Nose is caramel malty tones with hints of toffee and vanilla pudding. Taste is caramel, faint burnt sugar, hints of toffee and nuts. Bitter finish. Slick mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Decent, but boring.
