COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle & can: Filtered
Greene King IPA Gold is a light, refreshing golden ale that truly brings out the best in the unique and aromatic Savinsjki Goldings hop variety. The craftsmanship in this beer lies in the late hopping which creates a perfect blend of tropical fruits, mango and spicy notes and delivers a beer with a clean bitter taste and a crisp dry finish.

Origin: Bottle. Vessel: Pint Glass. Supplier: ASDA (Bristol). Golden with quickly disappearing head. Floral tones which turn into sweet aftertaste.

500ml can from Tesco. £4 for 4 cans. Clean and drinkable, but lacking in life or character. Rather lager like. Sometimes tastes like drinking a lager through a face flannel. Not impressed.

Aromat prawie niewyczuwalny, mocno nasycone, ledwo wyczuwalna goryczka, przejrzyste, bardzo słaba piana

Bottle from unknown... WHY DO THEY USE A CLEAR BOTTLE!!! Totally ruined beer for me. Pours golden, single finger head, high carbonation....about all it had going for it. Aroma....horribly skunky, you could just tell it had gone from that. Sweat, Cannabis...you name it. On the taste, just malts, biscuit, caramel, light, really faint orange...Really poor. SORT IT OUT!

Bottled. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is floral and grassy along with some grainy and mildly bready notes. Flavour is very similar with also some mild metallic notes to it. Still quite nicely fruity in the finish. Yet it feels very macrobrew like. Not the cleanest of beers.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2015 Would give this 2.5 overall if I could. Not much wrong with it, but hardly memorable. Good with food, such as spicy bean burgers. Better than the ultra synthetic taste of their usual bottled IPA.

Plain as simply. Does what it says on the tin (bottle). Crisp and light. Nothing special.

Golden colour, bubbly white head with moderate lacing. Aroma of herbs, citrus, dust. Light body. thin texture. Average carbonation. Bittersweet taste with herbal & citric profile. Thin watry finish. Lots of hops in the aftertaste. The Greene King has got many better beers to offer.
