COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Greene King IPA Gold is a light, refreshing golden ale that truly brings out the best in the unique and aromatic Savinsjki Goldings hop variety. The craftsmanship in this beer lies in the late hopping which creates a perfect blend of tropical fruits, mango and spicy notes and delivers a beer with a clean bitter taste and a crisp dry finish.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Pours clear gold, no head. Aromas are buttery and metallic. Taste us more of the same. Blurb on the bottle talks of tropical fruit! No hops appear to have been harmed in the making of this beer.

Appearance: Clear golden amber with finger thick white head. Aroma: Fruity, peppery, chalky, mineral, bread, caramel/syrup. Taste: Medium/high bitterness, low sweet and sourness. Palate: Thick grainy texture, light body, average carbonation, dry, abrupt, bitter, peppery finish. Comments: Ok and not really any tropical fruits.

Bottle @ tasting, shared by jmgreenuk. Pours a clear golden beer with a very small white head on top. Aroma has some buttery malts but completely missing all the hops. Flavor has also no real hop presences. Completely missing all the hops. How could they dare to call this an IPA. Must be better when served very cold with hot temperatures outside.. hopefully.

500ml bottle. There might be some interesting hops in this beer but they are lost in a bland watery malt base.

Bottled 16/11/13. A golden coloured beer with a white head. Hoppy notes but there is a sweet, creamy and slightly sickly note. Light berries. Not nearly as good as this is on cask.
