Greene King IPA Gold is a light, refreshing golden ale that truly brings out the best in the unique and aromatic Savinsjki Goldings hop variety. The craftsmanship in this beer lies in the late hopping which creates a perfect blend of tropical fruits, mango and spicy notes and delivers a beer with a clean bitter taste and a crisp dry finish.

There are lots of very good arguments about why beer shouldn’t be packaged in clear glass bottles, normally I agree with them in general but in IPA Gold’s case that would have meant missing out on it’s beautiful golden colour. Unfortunately the colour is the best thing about this ale. The aroma is typical of Greene King and always reminds me slightly of stale cigarette smoke. The beer is not quite insipid, but definitely watery and lacking in flavour and despite pouring a good initial head it rapidly falls. All-in-all rather disappointing.

BBE ?. Kullankeltainen, niukka nopeasti katoava vaahto. Mieto maltainen ja vienon makea aromi. Suutuntuma liukas, semikuohuva, pahvinen, hapokas, ohut ja kurkussa karhea. Aika meh.

From bottle, pours golden with small white head. Aroma is slightly tropical, metallic, spice and biscuit. Taste is mild in all ways, bitter and sweet. Rather fizzy however overall pretty easy drinking. Not terrible but certainly not special.

Light amber ale with short-lasting head and above average carbonation. Full aroma of lemon, marmite, hops. Lots of fizz in the light slightly watery taste, with lemon, biscuit, grass. Quite dry. Medium bitter finish with some smokey undertones. Not bad, but needs more taste and less fizz.

Sikacz, cienkusz.
