Warming with a mellow fruit aroma featuring grapefruit and orange citrus tones combined with floral and herbal notes from the Styrian Goldings hop variety, leading to a dry bitter finish. Mellow, mango, guava, grapefruit and orange peel. Malty warming and full bodied with a crisp bitterness. A real ale drinkers beer

Clear amber liquid, tall airy frothy off-white head. Good retention. Smells of caramel, biscuit & spicy hop. Light to medium body. Bittersweet taste. Caramel, massive harsh striking herbal bitterness. Long bitter hoppy finish. Quite decent but could use more smoothness.

Served in a tulip from a 500ml bottle. Pours clear copper-amber with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel, earth and not much else. Taste is a rather watery combination of caramel, and some herbal notes, with a soft herbal bitter finish. Medium body with lively carbonation. Would be OK on a hot summer day when not much else is available.

BBE JUN-2016. Tummanpunertava väri, olematon vaahto. Tuoksuton. Suutuntuma samettisen pehmeä, lievän katkera, aikalailla mauton hajuton fiiliksetön kokonaisuus.

Bottle, Tesco. Amber brown with a thin head. Boiled sweets with toffee and mellow red berries. Cabbage with traces of strawberry. Earthy with a peppery, carbonated palate. OK.

Small head hints of caramel oak tobacco nothing inherently wrong but could pack more flavour for the abv.

Ruby coloured, clear beer. One finger high white head with poor retention. No lacing. Aroma: caramelised sugar, herbal, earthy, a hint of plum. Taste: caramelised sugar, herbs, tobacco, a metallic note. Decent herbal-earthy bitterness. Fairly high carbonation, medium body. It’s an OK brew. Far from extraordinary, but it’s drinkable without provoking a grimace.
