500ml Bottle. Im a big fan of GK IPA Gold but cant stand their ordinary IPA, so I was viewing this beer with mixed feelings. It pours a reddish brown with a medium thin white head. Its aroma is sweet, hops, with toasted malts and caramel. It tastes citrusy but with a twang of toasted malts and a bitterness towards the end. I quite like this and will have again.

Bottle. Dark gold with a thick white head. Nose is malty and metallic. Taste is very malty and full tasting with some nuttiness, saltiness and breadiness as it warms up. Quite tasty.

Lekko puste, lekki aromat goryczkowy, ładna bursztynowa barwa, mocno nasycone, piana utrzymuje się krótko, ale ładnie oblepia szklankę.

Bottle from Sainsbury and drunk at home. Clear dark amber colour very thin layer of off white bubbles. Boiled sweet malt and some white pepper harsh hop aroma. OK in the mouth, slight sweetness. Some hop on the finish. It’s a bit boiled sweet like. No real Greene King yeast presence I guess due to the pasteurisation. Some bitterness on the finish. Not as good as the cask version. But ok and not unpleasant.

50cl bottle. Well matured. Simple old ale. Tangy, fruity hoppy. Numbing for some unknown reason. Has a distinctive Greene King taste. It is never bad. It is different form others, and they can reproduce it from batch to batch. Easy Thursday night drink.

Pours a yellowish brown with a creamy white head. Rich biscuity malt smell. Taste nice smooth bitterness.
