Chilled Greene King IPA at the Running Horse, pint. Creamy nitro ’false’ head over an amber beer. Slightly acidic battery aroma, not too bad, but not attractive. Sweet bitter, insipid. Best avoid.

Draft @ Unicorn, Kentish Town NW1. Pours a pale amber volor with a small smooth white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty weak hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Nickls (1297) - SE DC, Washington DC, USA - OCT 8, 2010
Tap. Generous slightly off-white really creamy head, burnt orange hue. Really nothing to report on in terms of the aroma, vague touch of hoppiness that edges towards citrus, malty sweetness for the most part. Flavor very much mirrors the taste, and can’t get much blander than this for the style. Very creamy MF and subtle carbonation. Bit of work to get through a pint. Bleh.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 lusikka (2062) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 27, 2010
Tap @ Olutravintola Malja. Rated @ 11.6.2010.
Amber colour with a creamy head which collapses quickly. Little lacy. Aroma of citrus, fruits and mild malts. However, the flavour is not good as it’s buttery with skunkiness. Light bodied with watery mouthfeel. Not good.

Keg. Darlington FC. This was surprisingly good, and probably the best of the mainstream nitrokeg bitters. Medium white/off-white head. Clear amber-copper body. Caramel and lots of burnt toffee on the nose, complimented by thin hops, thin malt, metal and corn. Creamy, some silkiness and a little oiliness on the palate. Mild bitterness.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 19, 2010
Cask at Ye Olde Cock Inn, Didsbury. Dark amber with orange, low, fine head. Fruity aroma. Flavor of fruit and hops, blander than Abbott ale, though. Ok malt, but weaker than Abbott. Decent balance, good hopping. Smooth, medium light body. Not quite IPA strength malt or hops--even in the British sense of IPA. Disappointing, but nice enough.

Some hop aroma. White head. Amber coloured smooth on the palate and a little hoppy with a crisp creamy and slightly dry malt finish

Can’t believe this is sold as a ’smooth’. it’s a disgrace to real ale. had a sip of a friends when he was adament to avoid cider but there was no real ale available. it was bland, lacking in taste and had a head filling most of the beer. it was ice cold and had the slightest hint of bitterness. utterly dissapointing.
