UPDATED: JUN 26, 2008 [on tap at the Warwick Arms, Reading] I had the "chilled" version of this because there were no other bitters available in this pub. Thick creamy lasting nitrokeg head despite negligible carbonation. Utterly tasteless while chilled apart from a faint bitterness this tasted not just watery, but actually like water Allowed it to warm to see if this bought out any flavour, but no. Still almost tasteless - a faint mustiness, and a slightly more discernable bitterness. Hint of sourness in the aftertaste. The most tasteless beer I’ve yet encountered, and I feel that to call it a beer at all is an insult to beer. It is certainly in no way an IPA. For one of the very few times in my life I wish I’d had a macro lager instead

Keg at The Red Lion, Adderbury. Cloudy amber, nitro fizzed head. Tinny, metallic with boiled over steeped tea taste. As bad as it gets.

Keg at the Golden Farmer, Bracknell. Gold with a creamy off-white head; despite the typical nitrokeg smooth and cold style, some hops actually come through; finish is slightly bitter and dry.

Draught in the Ferry, Symonds Yat. This was much better than the cask IPA. Great appearance, creamy head. Keeps it body till the end. Smooth flavour, slight honey hints. Hoppy. Goes down extremely well. Good sesh beer. Had about 8 of these so cant be bad.

Poacher’s Pocket, Chatham. A synthetic tasting beer. Not smooth at all, but fairly harsh and tinny. Stale and nasty. While I can understand people drink lager because it is cold and bland, I fail to understand why people want to drink beer which tastes like tin and cardboard. Strange. Perhaps the nitro had run low?

A little better than the one on Cask, it is a little creamy, and ht eoclour is somewhat dar. The foam is nice, and veyr malty. IT says it hs malted barley, I do not know why they say that.

Amber in colour, a slight caramel-malty taste. Sweetish. Good lacing on the glass
