Great beer with a nice oak character. Very good with aroma of vanilla and fruit. The flavor is great with vanilla, toffee, some oak character, fruit and caramel. Tem uma espuma densa e persistente. Essa Old Ale é surpreendente, possui claramente notas de carvalho. Recomendada para apreciadores de um bom vinho. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England

Pours a very dark brown with no much of head. Slight aroma of molasses and stilton cheese. Taste is like a porter with coffee notes at first, then more of a diary flavour but with an underlying sour tang. Pretty rich and full body. Alcohol can be felt too. Good stuff. Smells like good ole Tennessee whiskey. Dark black, low carbonation. Alcohol bites through. Really warms up a cold winter night. billcore (1), USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2008 one of my favorite beers of all time. its hard for me to find but when i can i ’ll buy a whole case. the malt is heavy and rich. the color is a dark brown, its one of the smoothest beers i have ever had. can definitely taste some caramel as well. the only thing missing is longer lasting head but oh well. still awesome. scrizzz (1269), kirkland, Washington, USA
