Contract brewed from 2002 - August 2005 at Ridleys.
Greene King XX Mild is a fine, dark, mild ale with a distinctive taste and delicate aroma. It draws its characteristics from a special blend of black and crystal malts to give a burnt, roasted flavour while the delicate hint of hops in the nose comes from the Northdown variety.

Cask at Free Press, Cambridge. Pours clear, red-brown with a frothy, off-white head. Faint dark, bready malts in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with notes of doughy brown bread, ripe berries and hints of brown sugar. Light of body and fine of carbonation. Sweet finish with more sugary brown bread, faint toffee, ripe berries, plums. Simple and one-dimensional, but it’s a tolerable mild.
