Inspired by bold American IPAs and named after the American jazz legend Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker. Full of hops with a lasting fruity flavour.

Word of advice to Greene king. Actually try an American ipa before trying to brew one. Sweeter and fruitier than the standard uk ipa, but by no means does it even come close to a us ipa. Don’t be fooled.

Kita (1120) - Koper, SLOVENIA - OCT 14, 2014
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep golden color with small frothy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of grass, citrus, peach, cereals and dust. Taste starts with light sweet, but rich toasted malt, follows by grainy acidity, mild fruitness, quite chalky with crisp and astringent mouthfeel and moderate grassy bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Pretty sessionable, without any superb features...

ALLOVATE (2436) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2014
Radiant orange body that shimmers. Mild, intermittent carbonation spurs a sloppy, sudsy white head to barely hold. Aroma is similar to most other Greene King beers signifying similar technique and use of a house yeast. Bready, honey soaked and brimming with hints of marmalade, lemongrass, urinal cakes and soap. Quite floral with cheap perfume dominating the palate. Underneath is bready malts and yeast, licks of honey and a tart astringent sourness in back. Clammy and soapy in feel. Light bodied with mild carbonation. Doesn’t work. Hard to finish. (33cL,

Hermod (3308) - Vantaa, FINLAND - SEP 17, 2014
33cl bottle from CM, Sello. Amber colored beer, thin white head. Nice fruity hoppyness in aroma, citrus, some toffee. Flavor has toffee, cookies, wood, sweetness. Slightly cardboardy finish, dry. Despite the finish, a tasty golden ale, something here I really enjoy, can’t put my finger on it.

Tap@wka. Clear copper. Meadowy floral, honey. Some earthy herbs. Light bodied, bready light caramelly malts. Dry finish. Hm, feels a lot like a real ale on co2. Probably a lot better without the carbonation.
