Inspired by bold American IPAs and named after the American jazz legend Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker. Full of hops with a lasting fruity flavour. Masses of hop. Tettnang and Willamette give tropical fruit, mango and floral notes with some spicy character. Cascade adds fresh pink grapefruit and Challenger and Pilgrim provide the underlying herbal hop with a touch of orange peel.

Word of advice to Greene king. Actually try an American ipa before trying to brew one. Sweeter and fruitier than the standard uk ipa, but by no means does it even come close to a us ipa. Don’t be fooled.

Flaske 0.33L fra Kilpis Finnland. Farge klar gylden med hvitt lett skum. Lukt humle. Smak litt mye kullsyre, fikk brusfølelse, humle, lett bitter i avslutningen.

Rating No.7100
Pale golden coloured, small white to off-white head, mild grassy nose. Weak malty, fruity, grassy, touch of vegetables and caramel with dryidh bitter finish. Evident lack of body.

Bevuta per accompagnare una bella cena, ha fatto decentemente la sua parte, ma sinceramente non mi ha detto nulla, quando l’ho assaggiata a fine pasto...

Bottle 0.33L. Deep golden body with an average, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing with some lacing though; high density of medium-sized bubbles. Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (citrus) and light malty (grains) aroma with notes of fruits (peach). Moderate bitter and light-to-moderate sweet flavour; bitter finish. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; soft carbonation.

Light yellow/orange, no head. Hoppy aroma. Flavor is remarkably distasteful, full of discordant notes and an underlying musk. Light bodied.

33cl bottle. Pours pale golden, just a ring of head. Grassy hops. Kind of alkaline and chemical rather than fruity. Bit of citrus on the finish. Medium body.

Keg at The Cock Inn, Leek (Joule’s) A clear amber colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, some toffee, slight bready malts, a little wood, grass, and subtle floral hops. Taste of caramel, some toffee, a little chocolate, grass, slight fruit, a hint of wood and subtle floral hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, grassy, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Even with a decent amount of malty flavour it’s quite dry with prominent grassy tones throughout. Ok.

Well this beer is kinda dull, but after all is very stylish (for me all English Pale Ales are kinda dull). Pleasent ester (fruit/flowers) aroma, low bitterness, good drinkability.
