On tap at Turf Tavern in Oxford. Slightly hopp smell with some bready malt. Similar taste. Slightly artificial with a rough carbonation.

Cask@the imperial, walsall. Golden amber beer with medium head and patchy lacing. Aroma is faint malts. Taste is malts, caramel, some yeast and a little marmalade. Not great.

Beese (1667) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2014
Cask at The Three Frogs (GK), Wokingham on 9 March 2013. Poured a clear dark golden colour, with a rocky white head. Aroma was typical GK; sweet malts, GK yeast and some faint hops. Flavours of caramel, flat malts and some grassy hop. Finish was much the same. Not awful, but a sad approximation of much better beers.

An extremely pleasant experience which I was not expecting. In these days of über-hopped American IPAs, a refreshing lightly hopped IPA, full of flavour and extremely sessionable.

AshtonMcCobb (2498) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 21, 2014
On tap @ the Raeburn Hotel. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - grassy/herby with a bran biscuit background. Taste - citrus and grassiness. Again there is a biscuit thing going on behind it. Palate - light to medium bodied with a light creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a decent pint alright, though not sure it makes me think American Pale Ale. Works well as an English pale ale though.

Aroma: grassy, floral hops, hints of bread malt.Appearance: clear pale gold, hardly any head. Taste: light bitter.Palate: grassy bitters, flowery flavours, light sweets coming up as well. Overall: OK APA, could be more complex in aroma and palate. Pint at Harwood Arms, Fulham.

ElectroMod (119) - - MAR 29, 2014
Cask at The Antelope, Rhydymwyn. Pours a very slightly hazy amber colour with a one finger off-white head. Aroma is hoppy and bready. Taste is grassy dry hops with a citrussy bounce. Slight tickle of carbonation but nothing that takes away from the beer itself. Almost no lacing and medium heavy mouthful. Tasty but very middle of the road.

Cask at the Antelope in Surbiton. Malty with a dry finish and a strong hint of citrus running through - surprisingly nice effort from GK.

Cask. Copper ale with a good cream head. Good hoppy head with mango and lemons. Sweet malty in the taste with light lemon, orange and a aspartame type aftertaste. It’s ok, but nothing overly special.
