Dark copper colour. Bubbly head. Smokey aroma, like clove in Weizen. Sweet and caramelly with lots of fruitiness and cloves. Low-medium bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Rubyish amber colour, beige head. Aroma is hoppy, caramelly and spicy. Flavour is quite the same, a very viennaish beer. I would almost say watery palate...

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled (BB 04/2008)
Thanks Papsoe. Dark ruby color, small off-white head. Aroma is spicey (clove) and caramelly. Christmasy flavor too - almost like Vienna: caramelly and toasty with spices added (of course being an ale, it is a bit more fruitier than Scandinavian Christmas Viennas). Actually quite light palate for 6 % beer. Drinkable seasion brew, but I would add some malts here.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smokey aroma. Large frothy off-white head. Fair lacing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Clear brown body. Heavy bitter and smokey initial flavor. Medium palate. Good beer.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(650ml bottle) Courtesy of Oakes. Aroma of mild banana, spice, malt and tonic water. Thin, beige head with a deep brown body. Thin texture. Malt, cloves and Christmas pudding round out the flavours. Good.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown color with almost no head, the brew is very clear and looks filtered. Yeasty fruitiness in the aroma along with definate notes of cloves and vague hobs. Flavor is mostly pilsnerlike bitter along with the spiceyness. Finish is abit watery but yet plesant and very drinkable. Couldnt taste the the greenland icecap!!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle courtesy of henrikb. Pours a clear mahogany with a nice rocky head that likes to linger. Smells of roses, christmas spices, oranges, breaddy yeast and licorice. Tastes like it smells which is along the lines of an ESB blended with a Wassail. Some of the flavors include light pepper, spices, sweet malt, oranges and some tanginess I can’t quite place. Palate is spicy. Finish provides me with a plethora or sweetness and and spiciness. Well balanced and very enjoyable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, 6%. Nice, warm chestnut colour. Hoppy aroma and flavour. The flavour gets a bit sour, probably due to too much aroma hops.
