Tap. Light grain and hay notes for the malt, moderate flowers and lemon for the hops, with a hint musty for the yeast and notes of spice in the background. Head is small, frothy white with no lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Color is hazy yellow. Flavor starts slightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. This is a nice beer with some Belgian Ale aspect to it, but itís more like a Blond Ale. Well worth drinking though.

Tap at RNH. Cloudy pale yellow pour. The nose is quite interesting. Very floral with a lot of lavender and violet aroma. A kiss of light lemony citrus and a soft coriander tartness. Fairly spicy yeast adds a touch of light lemony fruit and a bit of wheaty spiciness as well. An almost rye-like note on the back of the pour. Itís quite fresh and aromatic with a lingering lemon flavour. Itís pretty nice really.

GABF 2010. Pours a slight hazed deep golden with a thinning white head. Aroma is spicy, herbal flowery- lavender, ginger, yeasty phenolics, doughy wheaty, yeast notes and light fruity esters. Flavor is peppery, lavender, grass, herbs, gets slight oily, spicy, almost a lemon soapiness and anise seed- more lemon, slight citrus hops, soap and cracker in the end.

On tap at rattle ní hum. Pours a light hazy golden color with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is fairly faint and gives off hints of pine needles and spice with a light sugar backbone. Flavor is quite mellow like the aroma and has a nice finish of honey and bitter hops.

sample (and growler fill) at the brewery - definitely the tastiest thing I sampled at the brewery (sorry haters, but this was delicious). Amazing spicey nose, smooth bodied, creamy and clear. Sweet caramel, pils malts, touch of funk and lots of hop spice. This brewery should be doing big things soon (unless they want to stay local, which would almost be a shame).

On tap at the Good Life. Pour a light golden color, white head. The aroma is piney, spicy, sweet. The flavor is the same. Hard to describe, really. Itís very hoppy, piney, but tastes sweet like honey at the same time. Strong piney hop bittering at finish. Medium in body. Odd, but enjoyable.

On tap at The Good Life into a pint glass. Pours a regular copper, sits there and looks really inconspicuous. The aroma is equally mild giving little bits of pine. The flavor is where this really takes off and proves itself worthy of celebrating the anniversary of the Greenport Harbor. Straight from the beginning there is a strong hops flavor that will last well into your next beer. The hop flavors are somewhere between pinecone and honey with a strong spice intertwined. Whatever hops they used for this need to be used more often. If you let this sit in your mouth for more than a second, it will attack your tongue filling each taste bud full of spice individually.

This is an excellent beer and if you see it somewhere you should pick it up (although at the end of the night) as it will not be around for very long. If other beers from Greenport are as good as this, I should plan to get out there sooner rather than later.

On tap at Valhalla. Pours medium rosy amber. Flavor is sweet with notes of cinnamon and clove with moderate well balanced fruitiness. Clean finish with noticeable alcohol note. Very pleasantly surprised.
