Draught at Stag’s Head for NYC Craft Beer Week. 2010 vintage according to GP ppl at event. Pours murky reddish amber. Aroma and taste of malts, caramel and dark fruits (cherries). Slight hoppiness in the finish. Very drinkable.

On tap at American Flatbread. Pours a clear ruby amber with a medium sized white head. Spice and toast. Medium bodied sweet and lightly spicy. Faint toffee caramel. Gentle spice into the finish. Decent.

Draft. Pours deep reddish brown with a beige head. Light dark fruits, toasted malts, and caramel. On the bland side for an old ale, but good nonetheless.

Tap @ The Stag’s Head, NYC. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are rich caramel, toasted malt, notes of fruits and hops. Nice beer.

Draft at the Stagshead. Pours reddish brown with nose of dark fruits. tastes of berries, cherries, cola, rum, roasted malt, light pine, soy sauce, and earth. pleasant winter ale enjoyed on 98 degree day

A clear dark brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet caramel with dark fruits and molasses, fruity esters, a bit of licorice. In mouth, a sweet malt with dark fruits, bock like, nutty notes, coffee, not bad. On tap at Bierkraft, Dec. 27 2011.

Draught in Williamsburg. Poured brown, pretty darned malty, mild alco, prett good, actually the best Greenport Harbor Iv’e had.

Unlabeled bottle cork and caged that may have had some bugs in for good sport. Pours amber mahogany dark crimson with a tan head. The aroma and flavor are similar, light sour wild notes. The body is a bit light and after the sour flavor the beer drops off unfortunately.

Draft. Mahogany body with a scant lacing and very poor head retention. Very malty and fruity body up front. Dark fruit tones, plummy, black raisins, rummy and toffee notes. A healthy dose of caramel sweetness with a medium warmth. Pretty good.
