A rich, malty English Old Ale. Complex caramel and malt flavors are met with an understated hop character. A deep, reddish-brown color and warming alcohol presence will give comfort as autumn gives way to dark winter nights. Style/color: Old Ale/ Deep Amber. Malts: Marris Otter, Crystal, Chocolate. Hops: US Golding.

Nutty, woodsy, leathery - belongs on the end of a stick over a fire pit, a cedar closet, or on the bottom shelf of an old man’s library. Very, very subtle stone fruit on the nose.

The Diamond, Brooklyn tap: pours light browb with a beige head. Aroma is pine, caramel, and general maltiness. Taste is malty with some hop bit in the finish. At first it seemed kind of weak but it grew on me later. Good.

Like liquid persimmon pudding. Spice cake light on the spice, heavy on the caramelized prunes. Good for a cold night by the fireplace.
