COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A black ale that puts the flavor of the malt front and center. It has a mild hop character that balances strong notes of cocoa and hints of coffee. A full-bodied treat that pairs well with chocolate as well as fresh shellfish.

Draught@RNH. Dark, almost opaque brown color, good creamy beige head. Milky and chocolate aroma, light note of soya sauce. Light to medium bodied. Chocolaty and milky front, some caramel, low bitterness and short finish. Good taste but kind of empty. Perhaps with right food this is better.

Draft at Barcade. Not an outstanding beer but definitely solid and right where a porter should be. Pours Dark brown with a modest off-white head. Some burnt malts in the nose but not too roasty. Flavor holds moderate sweetness, some roast, mild dryness in the tail. Medium body. I would drink again.

Bottle, labeled "sample, not for sale". Pours a nice dark brown. Tan head. Roasty aroma with lots of chocolate, light coffee and a hint of molasses. Toasty aroma, lightly sweet, chocolate and espresso flavors. Pretty good porter!

Deep brown pour. Thick tan head. The nose is lightly cocoaish. A bit of light herbal cocoa and a bit of roasted malts as well. A little bit of light coffee and toast. It’s a little bit thin with a slight lingering roastiness, but it certainly isn’t bad… pretty nice porter.
