COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Brewed with Pale and Cara Malts, Centennial and Magnum hops and whole oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, and tangelos. Citrus fruits were added to both the mash and boil to add citrus flavor, aroma and bitterness. Although no bittering hops were used, the beer is plenty bitter, thanks to the whole citrus fruit.”

Growler from Big Z. Pours a clear light orange with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, plenty of citrus and bitter orange rind. Flavor again, plenty of bitter citrusy fruity hops and a bitter finish. It is bitter, but very different feel as the bitterness comes from fruit and not hops. A very interesting beer! Apparently, the growler I had filled is from the last keg they’ve got, but hopefully they will make a similar beer again because this is good stuff. 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]

Pours a clear, light amber. Decent-looking but no real effervescence. Malt and grapefruity smell. Slight pine. Medium mouth is a little surprising (in a good way) based on a lackluster appearance. Sharp and dry on the palate. Citrus notes are more forward with a bracing, cleansing finish. Hop forward but not a hop bomb. Decently balanced. Pretty refreshing. Not sweet finishing like some other IPAs.

nice coppery orange color with medium body. sour citrus aroma. flavor is unexpectedly VERY floral and not as bitter as I would expect from an IPA. The advertised citrus flavors don’t really come through, but it’s overall extremely delicious with a very nice finish. The best that I tried at the Greenport Harbor Tasting Room.

The IPA pours almost clear amber with a small white head out of the growler, thanks Josh. The aroma is fruit with some spices, mostly citrus notes though. The flavors of citrus also dominate on a light body perfect for summer drinking. The end is tons of citrus zesty a bit dry but excellent on the palate.

On draught at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange amber with a moderate off-white head. Very pleasant aroma that is filled with orange and grapefruit. There is just a bit of lemon in the nose as well and no lime to speak of. The flavor begins with malt and is quickly taken over by ample fruity grapefruit and orange with a little bit of lemon, and again no lime. The Centennial and Cascade hops combine very nicely with the citrus that is added to this beer. Moderate bitterness at the finish. A refreshing and enjoyable beer!
