A very mellow "starter" brew for someone afraid of ales in general. Not horrible, but just really average among average. Drinkable and unoffensive, but just too watery. Didn’t impress me.

Had it as part of a tasting at the brewery, then the next day at a local bar on Long Island on tap. Very refreshing. Appealing blonde straw color, some nice notes of citrus and hops. Definitely should try this one when you’re out on the North Fork

Cask at Get Real New York. Deep amber pour. The aroma is lightly hoppy and citrusy. A soft palate and a bit of light orange peel flavour. Moderately hoppy but quite nice. A bit of soft bitterness on the back.

A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, smooth caramel malts over c-hops, lemony, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth pale ale with crisp caramel malts, restrained amarillo notes, quite nice and classic. Dry hopped with Amarillo. Cask at Get Real NY, March 19 2011.

Poured a hazy yellow with minimal head. Aroma was sweet and not too floral. Taste was similar, very sweet with little to no hops. Not especially enjoyable.

Pours a hazy kind of grapefruit color - substantial head - taste immediately British, in that there seems to be a fair amount of buttery diacetyl that tastes as if the brewer intended it to be there (don’t ask me how I know that; I just do!) - very malt forward, with an interesting mix of fig and raisin flavors - a bit of stale English hoppiness on the tail end - some treacle or bread pudding-ish quality to it - an earthy component - just all very...British - not a bad thing - a bit too malt-forward for me.
