Clean, bright citrus. Resiny, citrusy and quite fruity. Awesome lingering bitterness with a long finish. Tasty and very awesome.

On tap at the dutch into a goblet. Golden amber color nice white head with good retention. Scent is muted pine and cirrus hoppyness. Taste is more balanced than one would expect of a dipa. Mild cerealness balances the citrus hop. Mouth is light to medium, slightly drying. Not too shaby.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Fruity and floral hoppy aroma, with some toasted malty notes. The flavor has floral hops, some fruity sweetness, and toasty and sweet malts. Pretty good.

Draft at Dutch. Weaker hoppy nose. Creamy head sits awhile. Hoppy and resinous yes, a tsunami of hops no. A DIPA on the weaker side of yum. Yes it is strong and hoppy but it does not stand above others.

Pours light amber. Light citrus and hop flavor with mildly noticeable alcohol. Definite lasting bitterness. Not my favorite DIPA...

tap - pour is orange, golden, no head. Nose is floral notes and piney hops and a touch of citrus. Sweet caramel malts on the body, sharp lingering bitterness with stale herbal hop character. Crystal malts and some strange grassy, pungent heat.

Draft at rattle with Linh and Co. Pours a amber body with no head or lacing. Aroma is light fruit, muted pine, and sweet toasted malts. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of restrained pine hops. Decent imperial ipa. Seems it a bit tame but you can’t taste any of the alcohol.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tgncc (1916) - Bellmore, New York, USA - MAY 31, 2011
The aroma is citrus, caramel, flowers, earth/metal. The appearance is clear gold, amber tint, white head. The flavor is sweet caramel, metal/earth, flowers. Not much alcohol present for an IIPA. Medium in body. The finish is a panoply of floral, metal, earthy, and piney hops. Not bad at all. The weird metal taste and the slightly thinner than expected body keeps it from true greatness.

Growler courtesy of Bellport Dave. Light amber pour. A little grassy, piney and sweet smelling. Hefty mouthfeel. Kinda sticky sweet with residual piney bitterness in finish. Dangerously quaffable for a double IPA. Extra point for being a local.

Pouring at TAP NY. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Touch of grain and hops, citrus and malty toast. Sweet malt, spicy hops. Toast and grapefruit on the finish.
