Growler from Big Z, consumed same day. Pours a slight hazed bright orange light copper with a nice fluffy white head- sticky lace. Aroma is citrusy hops over a phenolics belgian saison yeastiness, doughy, slight orange lemon soap, grass, light fruity ester- mostly clean and straightroward. Flavor is slight toast, and carapils sweetness, hints of grass, good amount of citrusy hops added in, light fruity ester, some medium phenols in the finish turns slight soapy but still pretty good- finish is mostly dry with a slight sweetness leftover. Pretty solid overall.

Draft at Valhalla with Baby Streets. Pours an amber body with big white frothy head. Aroma is funk, pepper, spice and weirdness. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of floral and grassy hops, spice, pepper, and a very distinct weirdness - perhaps the tapline, not quite sure as everything has always been top notch from GPH. Probably worth a retry.

In short: A bright, dry, sharp and refreshing lemony blonde Saison. Excellent
How: 500ml hand-bottle from Dickinsonbeer, Paul rules!
The look: Cloudy glowing blond body topped by a persistent small white head
In long: Wonderful nose blending fresh rye, countryside flowers, lemongrass, fresh grapefruits juice and mild rustic yeast (dusty farmhouse) component. Body is crisp, a bit juicy and somewhat doughy. Taste of lemon muffin, flower petals, fresh rye bread, lime, some bitter grapefruits, fresh tangerines, freshly cut grass, ginger, white pepper, some other spices, rustic yeast. Finish is rather dry and also sharp with some acidity and grapefruity bitterness. Leaves you with a dry mouth and you immediately want another sip. Overall the taste was very bright, crisp and refreshing. I would drink gallons and gallons of this beer. This beer deserves better ratings its current miserable score, and it’s not that I believe I am the only one on this site with good taste in beer but… ehhh… wait… nevermind… that’s exactly what it is.

The aroma is like a barn, hay, horseblanket. The appearance is a gold/orange color, fairly clear, white head. The flavor is sweeter than expected, fruit, bread, light pepper. The finish is spicy, rye, pepper. Medium in body, slightly thin. Nice.

RB Scavenger Hunt Google Translate Rate: From 32 ounces. Roar. Clear gold, minimal white head pours. Rye bread and some alcohol aroma. Rye, bubble gum bits, and some astringency. A little dry, although I was a little astringency of the sort. Completion is a little bitter and yeast. I really do not know what to make of this. I mean, I can drink, this is normal, but I do not think it’s something that I have seen.

Count me a big fan of this brew. Smelly in the right way, with lemon and zest and spicy esthers. And there’s rye in the taste that cuts the overt sweetness of the yeast. It begins sweet, has rye in the malt backbone, and finishes clean and crisp, with a good yeast presence. The body is well carbonated, with lace sticking around the glass, and the mouthfeel is almost creamy in its medium body. Very drinkable, and perfect to end a night. Sadly... I can’t end the night yet. I have more work to do on this class project... Hmm, so maybe there’s time for a coffee stout?
