Pouring at Get Real NY. Pours a hazed ruby with a thin white head. Sweet floral notes, fruit and malt. Sweet roast, chewy malt, boozy malt with a touch of sweetness. Big candy sweetness, toast and light caramel and a light burnt notes. Tastes like caramel pretzel pieces.

Tap at Blind tiger - light, sweet barleywine, toffee butterscotch candy, a bit syrupy. Dry bitterness and planty hops at the finish. Boozey in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Aroma: The nose is malty, some sweetness, toffee, caramel, and fruity notes
Appearance: This one has a copper-red pour with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet with a light pine bitterness to it
Palate: The body is medium with fairly soft carbonation and a touch of heat
Overall Impression:
Overall, this is just an alright Barley Wine. It isn’t the most exciting example of the style nor is it one of the worst, it’s just solid and drinkable. Good stuff.

The aroma is fruity, sugary, malty. The appearance is a clear deep amber color, white head. The flavor is fruity, metal, soapy, hot. Not bad, but not good. The finish is an astringent bitter taste, some fruity sweetness, citrus, and some booze warming. Not bad, not great.

Tap at brewery. Pours a ruby red with a thin white head. Sweet malt nose. Very smooth with a touch of warming. The abv is pretty well hidden. Some hop notes and a bit sweet. Nothing overpowering but smooth and tasty.

Draft, pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet fruity tones, etoh and caramel sweetness. A modest warming with a strong caramel tones. A strong american style barley wine with not much else to brag about.
