3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bathory (59) - Bryne, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2012
A bit pale golden colour, with a long lasting white head. Aroma of bread, hay, grass as I could taste. I fine blonde beer, but it might be a little low on character.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Foffern (285) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 27, 2012
Bottle at home. Pours a light orange colour with a small off-white head. The aroma is dominated by sweet and fruity yeast, spices, hay, and some glue towards alcohol. More spices in the mouth but still has a lot of sweet yeast, and is a bit dry. Light to medium bitterness, and has a light and slick mouth feel. A decent blonde ale, a bit light and easy-drinking.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 KnutAlbert (4613) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 30, 2012
The feeling is that of a very decent wheat beer, shows that the yeast does much of the work in creating the flavour.
An unpleasant dirty yellow, which would put off many potential drinkers.
Lemon sherbet, flowers and spices.

Now, this doesn’t look that inviting, does it? A hazy, dirty, light amber to golden body (if "dirty" and "golden" are compatible descriptions). The white head has a decent size and is quite long-lived, the lacing is also rather good. Yeasty, spicy and fruity aroma with herbs and a touch of perfume. Nice! The taste is light sweet. I’m often a bit uncertain regarding the taste of ales this yeasty and spicy: is it also light acidic or is it just a light bitterness? I think I’ll go for both of them. Flavours are yeast, spices, perfume and soap. Also fruity notes, citrus and a touch of banana. I’m not quite sure about the banana though, it might be that the mouthfeel is somewhat similar to chewing banana peel: very chalky dry, on the border of astringent. Quite light body, medium to lively carbonation. A refreshing and crisp beer with a splendid aroma and nice, clean flavours, but the banana peel mouthfeel is a bit too much. Fun-fact: it’s not a good idea to brush your teeth 5 minutes after you’ve had this beer.
