COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Green’s Blonde Ale.
Bottle refermented blonde ale is a blonde coloured, bottle refermented ale. The characeristic taste and aroma is a result of the specially selected de-glutenised barley malt and hop varieties and is brewed to an age old recipe. Serve cool. Gluten free, wheat free.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours straw blond and hazy with a nice head. The aroma malty and yeasty, promising. The taste is malty with typical belgian yeast flavours, but rather one-dimensional. There’s no real depth to the beer and the mouthfeel is too light, almost giving it a sense of wheat beer. I also think the beer is too flat, it would do with some more carb. Never really been interested in beer that market themselves as gluten-free and I chose this one because of the type, but whether it is because of the lack of gluten or not, this beer lack something.

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget Gårda. Sampled on December 19, 2014.
Clear golden color, white head. Belgian yeast, estery fruity scent. Belgian blonde taste, though with surprisingly high resin like dry lasting bitterness. MEdium mouthfeel, high dry bitterness. Bitter aftertaste mainly.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a chalice. The appearance was a glazed over pale golden to yellow color with a slight transparency all about allowing a fair amount of carbonation to be seen rising. The smell seemed to have an almost overly cooked corn to it. A light weird grainy / grassy heavy sort of kick of wheat came out a bit. The taste was moderately grassy and somewhat grainy - sweet but an almost overly cooked to almost come across as bland. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sessionability that wanted to show its face but something from the taste makes it somewhat hard to put down. Overall, I’m not exactly sure what happened with this one but I can’t see for any reason why I would really want to try this again.

33cl bottle, labeled Green’s original blond ale. BBE 06/2018. From Systembolaget. Pours hazy golden with a huge, frothy white head. Nicely dry, with orange peel, spicy notes, pear in aroma. Flavor has fermened sweet fruits, belgian yeast, spicy notes. Alcohol is coming through a little. More dry than sweet finish. Quite nice as it is, but feels raw, think I’d like this even better when a little older. Too straightforward now.

Zekada (269) - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - AUG 6, 2014
Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma is fresh has tones of fruits (peaches and grapefruits) and some wheat, reminds very much of a witbier. Pours hazy yellow with a medium white head. The beer hasn’t got a lot of taste is a bit "plastic" and bland. Palate is thin and easily drinkable, as expected. Overall a poor beer which looks and smells inviting but dosen’t deliver when things comes to show

Weak Belgian who the most feels like a tacky and sleazy failed saison. Skim well, but the taste is pretty bland and mediocre.

330ml bottle. Golden body with a medium white head. Fruit, caramel, yeast, hay and spices. Quite ok. Propably stands out more among the gluten free options.

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2014 Complex but gentle aroma. Moderate carbonation, complex finish. A beer that went well with pasta for this rating

This beer is a great gluten free beer with a hazy yellow color to it and has a strong malty, yeast flavor to it but not overwhelming.

@ Röhällavägen. Flaska från Systembolaget (25:-). Fruktig med jästtoner, kryddor, hö/halm, något pepprig. Avslutningen är torr.
