Bubbly chestnut colored liquid. Taller somewhat diminishing dark beige head. Sweet aromas with caramel, apple skin, horse blanket and yeast. Has a mild "tainted" scent that reminds me of one of my past homebrews that had just a hint of funk. A dark apple cider flavor. Quite thin and bubbly in feel. I like buckwheat, but Iím not catching much in this one. Some dark caramel, spice and a bit of rust in the linger. Actually one of the better gluten free brews that I have had. This one captures a few qualities of a dubbel to make it interesting.

The aroma softens as it warms, but this ale begins with an onslaught of nail polish, some dark stoned fruit, and a trace of vanilla. It has an industrial chemical feel in the mouth. The flavor is fruity, dark, with alcohol and strange herbs. It finishes on that chemical note. At least it looks swell, a deep brown with reddiish highlighting and a thick, rocky tan head.

Poured from bottle. Amazing aroma - vanilla, banana, a bit of creme de mente. Very dark mahogany with slight head. Vanilla, brown sugar, and herbal notes in the flavor (definitely no mustard!). Just a bit thin. Soda-like feel to it. Not the greatest, but definitely worthwhile.

Bottle (Vanha Posti, Tampere) Very dark red, healty head. Sharp winey and sour aroma, some alcohol, maybe medicianl. Sweet alcoholic with medicine-like maraschino cherries and marzipan. Not sophisticated at all.

This beast pours a beautiful chocolate brown w/ a huge rocky froth. Head retention is superb as it finally reduces to a clump of cream and a thick, fluffy, sticky ring. Nice! Aromas of spiced dark fruits and bitters. Medium nectar weight w/ ample residual effers that are soft like cotton. Strongly flavored, this brew is spicey and only mildy sweet. Angostora bitters upfront w/ ginger, dried rose petals, citrus rind, and rusted metal. Other nuances of wet tree bark, leather, bitter stems and herbs, cherry, nectarine. As it warms a tartness appears w/ some mild cola flavors. The finish is bittered well leaving enough heavy spices to linger you could fill a spice rack. Overall: Iíve had Dubbels and Iíve had Dubbels and this one fits in nicely. Good scores on all components reveals a great new brewfor the celiacís. Itís way under-rated.

Bottle from Party Source. Poured clear dark brown with a moderate off-white head that lasted with fair lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium sweet flavor with medium sweet finish. Soft drinkable brew.

Mahogany with a nice, large head. The aroma has notes of vegetables and malt, and the veggies are found in the flavour too (celery), but also candy sugar, roasted malt, sweetness, syrup, cikory and a tart finish. The body is light and itís way too sweet. Thanks Yngwie!
