I like the aroma and look, but the just seems to miss its mark. while it its got a very strong flavor of cola, their is a bit of a tangy sensation that doesn’t work 100% with me. but this is a decent alternative.

Bottle... Very dark brew (hazy orange when held up to light) with a small, fizzy, white head. Smells like sake and dark fruit. Light-bodied with extremely fizzy carbonation. Tastes like bad, cloyingly sweet sake. Finishes sweet and watery.

THOUGHTS: It’s a nice beverage, but not the best beer. It was definitely Belgian smelling and tasting, but there wasn’t enough beer to it really. It was almost like an alcoholic soda. It also had that flavor and aroma that I am beginning to associate with sorghum beers, but not as strong as I’ve experienced before. All that said, if I could never drink regular beer again, this would be a nice replacement. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a nearly opaque, medium to dark brown with an average tan head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma wasn’t entirely unpleasant, but it did get weaker and weaker as time went by. There was moderate to heavy caramel and milk chocolate; honey, brown sugar, cola, spices, candy dark fruit, that sorghum chemical smell, slight alcohol and light yeast. The initial flavor was moderate to heavily sweet and heavily acidic; while the finish was heavily to harshly sweet; and sour with a short duration. The flavor was nice, but way to cloying. There was brown sugar, candy sugar, caramel, a little cola, chocolate and yeast; and that chemical sorghum taste. The medium body was dry and really astringent with very fizzy carbonation and a dry and moderate to heavy astringent finish.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a big tan head. Red wine, caramel, dark fruit aroma. Berry fruit, caramel flavor with light yeast. Medium-light body. Needs malt. Lingering sweet fruitiness that turns a bit sacharine.

Pours very dark brown, lots of dark bubbly head. Aroma is cloyingly sweet with strong dark cherries and some metal. Taste is worse. Sort of an odd artificial fruitiness mixed with too much sweetness and again with the metal. Also a bit too thick. Overall, fairly stomach-ache inducing, but not the most terrible thing, especially given the insane list of ingredients.

Pours very dark with a medium, lasting foam. The aroma is weak, and hints at red fruits. The flavor is odd, it sort of tastes like cheap champagne. Other flavors include cola syrup, and deep cherries. It is interesting.
