Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is grainy, malty and sweet. A light bodied pilsner. Malts are mild and kind of grainy and sweet. Hops are very slightly spicy. Typical pilsner, not a lot of flavor but lively carbonation. OK for a pilsner. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is grainy and slightly bitter.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy light straw, small creamy white head, attractive lacing, with soft carbonation.   Very light straw aroma with some pear mixed in.   Grassy up front, with a slight graininess.   Minor tinges of pear and flora blend in.   Not as clean and crisp on the finish as I would prefer, but still this one isn’t too bad.   Thanks goes out to ross8425 for the trade!

A very average beer which is not bad. Taste is ok, as is everything else. Of course, even an average beer is still a beer.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2004 The beer after its disinterment from the 12-ounce brown bottle resides in the glass the archetypal pilsner gold color with a smallish bright white and frothy head, after its demise the lace forms a thin screen to conceal the glass. Nose is the quintessential sweet malt, crisp and clean with the start somewhat sweet, the grain profile light and the top thin. Finish has a moderate acidity and the hops standard for the style, dry lingering aftertaste, drinkable but nothing to shout about.

This was an almost perfect pils for the beach - cool and crisp, lightly sweet, a dusting of peppery hops. Plenty of flavor yet still light and refreshing. (OBX-2005)

has a different taste than i am used to. not as crisp and clean as i was expecting, but hey, every beer is different. drank it from the bottle, because i dont really enjoy pouring pilsners- they all look the same, there is no point. has a fruity taste that i cant really pinpoint. still good, one of these guys better brews.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2004 Suffers from APA--American Pilsner Affliction. It is flavored like a pilsner but the rest is absent. It taste grainy, as if the correct flavoring malts were used but not the actual malt itself. Re rate: This is a big turnaround. Aroma is grainy, and sharp hops are in the nose. Sweetness in flavor, but mostly it is a typical german pilsener that has a fresh, somewhat crisp taste.

Bottled. I'm not a pilsener fan. This was pretty good for a pils. Had a nice malty flavor with a hint of tan in the color.
