Draught@GBBF. Clear amber color, steady beige head, some lace. Grassy, scaringly toasted dark bread aroma with hints of diacetyl. Grassy, woody, sticky and harsh flavor. Aroma is much more promising than the actual flavor. Sweet grassy hoppy aftertaste.

Draft @ Annafest. Appears a copper color, with thick lasting fluffy off-white head and rings of lace. Balanced aroma is as hoppy as is malty, and leaps from the krug. Lip-smaking mouthfeel and big body. Bold flavors are bready, crusty, and toasty. Quaffable with all the elements in order.

bottle. Clear bronze-amber colour, medium-sized head. Aroma of caramel. Full-bodied, hints of caramel, roasted malt, toffee and a shy fruity touch, perhaps with some raisin flavours. Dry and pleasantly aromatic hoppy finish.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a small off-white foamy head. Sweet malty and slightly toasty aroma, also slightly nutty with a light but still distinctive oaky hoppy touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; smooth carbonation. Toast-malty and nutty taste with light notes of caramel on a herbal background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter, malt-accented finish with a well-balanced herbal and slightly woody hoppy touch. Quaffable Festbier (05.09.08).
