UPDATED: APR 13, 2013 Bottle from Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. - Malty, a bit sweet but not too sweet. Slightly fruity hops. Finish is medium bitter but also sweet which is odd. – Acceptable Franconian pils, but a bit more bite would be fine.

Day Two of the Great Chris Meyer/Aaron Nielsen Franconian Beer Tasting in Schlitz. Prost! A touch hazy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Fairly sharp pils malty, grassy, a bit floral aroma. Fairly grainy pils malty, somewhat grassy/noble hoppy, crisp and delicious flavor.

Moderat hopfiger, eher getreidiger Geruch. Antrunk feinherb, dann süßlich-hopfenaromatisch. Feinherber Nachhall. Mildes Pilsener. Ok. Test vom 28.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle. Crisp hoppy aroma. Yellow, fine carbonation, creamy head. Smooth malty entry, hard water saltyness, Fine aromatic hop profile. Fullbodied, chewy, fruity malt, feels a bit more like a nice hoppy Helles, but that is semantics - this beer is thoroughly enjoyable.

(bottle) pours a clear yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of floral hops and earth, with a light touch of pale malts. flavour is the same, a bit nondescript though, with a medium bitter flowery finish. light-bodied with medium carbonation.

Bottle. It pours a clear, almost golden body under a minimal white head. Pale malts and some fruityness in the aroma, pretty straifht forward and rather boring. The flavor is much the same, lacking on both fruityness and hoppy bitterness I think. Medium body, dry. Some bitterness in the finish, and also some metallic notes. Nothing to see here, move on. 090821

Bottle, 5.1%, bought at the brewery. Almost clear shiny yellow colour, small floating bits. Very small white head. Quite bitter. The bitterness is a little like a non-alcoholic pils.
