Sampled at Blues & Brews. Poured dark orange with a small off white head. Malt forward nose, caramel and toffee. Flavor is the same with a hint of hops to keep the sweetness down a bit. Smooth bodied. Wouldn’t mind finding a 4/6 pack of this.

Enjoyed several cans fresh from the brewery. Comes across as a typical seasonal marzen with no unusually strong or weak points. Very drinkable for summer or fall. Purchased a 4-pack based on my initial tasting,

16 oz can. Light dirty brown/copper pour with a medium fizzy white head that leaves a nice soapy lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and oats. Medium bodied with a silky smooth finish. Very good American take on a marzen.

Can courtesy of AirForceHops. Sweet buttery caramel malt aroma. Clear copper with a large off-white head. Sweet bready caramel malt and very subtle weedy hops flavor. Light body, average carbonation.

16 oz. can at Midtown in Newport, RI. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Mild aroma of lager yeast and malt. The flavor is lager yeast, malt and cracker. Crisp finish with mild bitterness. Medium bodied.

16 oz. can. Dimpled mug shows a cloudy amber color with spotty lace/ Nose is dough and large amounts of sweet malts. Flavor is all sweet, bready malts. A very weak bittering unit is there when it’s real warm but you can not taste it even when it’s just chilled. The body is thin. It’s relatively easy to drink because it does not have much going on. Not bad, just real simple.

Not my favorite fall selection. Starts a lil sweet and finishes bitter. Not much in between and i wont be a repeat buyer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz Can, purchased at Wakefield Liquors. Light Munich malt aroma. Flavors are immediately sweet and have some of that nice Munich/Vienna grain sweetness, but then it gets wiped out by a staunch and somewhat detracting bitterness that seems out of place in a style that so typically lacks bitterness. Technically, this is an ale, as are so many American renditions of a style that trodden upon because so many American breweries make sweet, ale-fermented nods to tradition, which is unfortunate, because a good Oktoberfest is a good show of malt. This however, is not.

On Tap at the brewery. Dark orange red pour with a big white head. Aroma is sweet malt, a bit of caramel, some crisp straw notes and a bit of breadiness. Flavor is similar, smooth yet crisp, light fruit notes. Good beer.

Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel, raisin, chocolate and herbal hops. The taste is sweet malts with a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. A slight bit too sweet but still decent.
