3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at The Malted Barley - Westerly, RI. Grainy, fresh aroma. Flavors are clean and light. There’s a slightly harsh, coarse and somewhat chem-y quality finish that could be hops or something else. Otherwise, I think this is a delightfully fresh, light, flavorful, and drinkable example of the style. Will look forward to being able to have this on tap at most places.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz can. Pours a clear golden with a white head. I guess this is OK for the style and is easy to drink. Bland and boring but not offensive. It is what it is.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden color with thinner white head. Aroma is very mild, slight hint of some sweetness. Mild hop bitterness and flavor, mild malt flavor. Palate is reminicient of a cream ale being fuller which is nice. Nothing overwhelming here but sometimes that is ok.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of raw dough and corn. Amber-yellow, slightly hazed. Heavy, sweet grainy taste, which describes the body as well. Also some metal. Why can a beer like this?

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Comes in a can Can pours light yellow pour with a frothy white head. Aroma smells of sweet corn. Cream ale’s are basically tasteless, smooth and have a nice thick texture, not for experienced beer drinking more for Session. This is one of the most worst of that brand of ale. When your competition is Narragansett and Genessee and your beer still isn’t up to par, you know your doing something wrong. I would normally advocate the beer that is actually made in Rhode Island but at least Narragansett comes in a bigger can, is a dollar cheaper and doesn’t have such a strong metal taste. Quite unsatisfying I feel very ripped off.
