Cask; Regular.
A favourite for many years, running a close second to Ferret in popularity. A medium strength, hoppy bitter.

Cask gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Copper colour with disappearing white head. Strong lime aroma. Fairly standard citric bitter in mouth. Underlying acidity is apparent throughout and the finish has some pleasing lemon/lime fruit and dusty hops, but that aroma..... truly odd. Chris was lucky and couldn’t smell it.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Dusty citrus aroma with some fruit and dry minerals. Flavour had diacetyl, more citrus fruit, ash and some cutting acidity in the finish. An odd mixture of aromas and flavours that didn’t work.

Draught Gribble Inn, Oving, West Sussex. Pours light amber with thin head. Light bodied with no carbonation. Somewhat acidic. A bit of a let down but the inn was worth the drive.

Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival. Amber/gold colour. Couldn’t get much aroma due to a heavy cold. A little sharp and not very full bodied. A straightforward light bitter, with some citric notes.

Cask@Battersea Beer Festival. Smelt like lime mixed with some garbage juice, really odd aroma. Luckily the palate wa a little better, lemony/lime acidity, mixed with a touch of salty bitterness, below average.

Bright bottled @ Thurrock Fest. Fresh notes: "Golden bitter with sweet notes and a clean acidity with a light wood aroma which creeps into the flavour. Very nice. Score 3.5" This has not done well in the bottle. Flavours are muted and murky - this would get a low score today. I’m giving the score for the fresh sample.
