3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Handpump at the maddenind crowd Oxford. Poursw a clear light amber with a lasting whipped head. Aroma is big spicy and floral hop. Impressive for such a beer. If this isn’t dry hopped, then I am even more impressed. The body is light, slightly watery, and appropriate for a cask. The flavors are definitely focused on the hops. Floral-rose, some sweet crystal malts, with a nice balancing bitterness. One of the best cask bitters I have had, not that I have had that many.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2006 Cask (handpump) at the Gribble Inn, Oving, West Sussex, February 2006. A quite dark copper coloured best bitter ruby hints. Light malt aroma. Rather lighter on the palate than the colour would suggest. Mainly fruity, with a pulpy, jammy fruit character and a slightly sour edge. Decent, but no huge depth of flavour.
