3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 OlJuntan64 (1266) - Perth, - OCT 10, 2005
I thought "brune" meant "brown" but this is the least brown brune I’ve seen. Pours more like a standard hazy honey orange colour with a medium size fine bubbled lasting white head. Aroma is spicey wheat grainy beer like, celeriac, yeast and sweet floral and raw alcohol as it warms. Palate is soft, mouth filling, with a lot of effervescence released on the tongue without feeling all that crisp. Flavour is medium sweet honey and breakfast cereral like grainy malt, followed by a short burst of bitter hops on teh side of the mouth before back to mild sweet lacklustre finish

February 2010 - my 330ml bottle shared with blankboy and garthicus. Cloudy reddish-amber with a lot of floaties; small off-white head. Sweet caramel and spice aroma, quite yeasty - but pretty "Belgian brown generic" and dry. The taste followed - sweet caramel, spicy, yeasty, a bit boozy - ehhh. Thin, slick, stingingly carbonated - not bad, pretty unmemorable.

Dark brown cloudy, awesome holding white head. Sweet yeasty aroma. Rich, sweet brown malt taste. Average beer bite. Sweet lingering finish.
