(Rating #1328)

Bottle. Orange, slightly hazy body. Tea, some fruit, sweetness and malt in the aroma. The flavor is quite heavy, with sweetness, tea and some fruityness. Full body, sligtly sticky in the mouth. Nice, but a bit on the tea-side. (070914)

My Bottom Line:
Doughy yeast reigns and spiciness remains humble, as a fruit salad topped with brown sugar latches on to this pillowy Belgian Strong Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy sheet of foam lingers atop the foggy dark amber.
-Alcohol is expertly hidden.
-The finish is a slightly softer version of the flavor profile.
-If the doughy yeast component were taken out, there wouldn’t be much to say about this one.
-All flavors remain well integrated, and the spiciness is delicate enough not to be named.

Bottle; best before Nov.’08.

Deep amber body, good beige head. Yeasty and wine aroma tempered by sweet apricot and grapes notes. The taste adds malty sweetness and licorice. Tastes a bit thinner but the balance is good. Spicy and drinkable, with a good hoppy and slightly bitter finish. Nice winter warmer.

Darker amber coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a small off white head. Malty alcoholic aroma. Full palate. Finish is bitter, spicy and light alcoholic. Rather nice one.
