(Bottle bbe 04/2006) Dark reddish brown, small off-white head. Nose is sweet syrupy malts, spices and strong sweet pear. Flavor is sweet malts, spices and pear. Rye puddingy finish with some warming alcohol, hops and liquorice. It’s got something going on, but not for me. That sweet pear gives me goosebumps.

This beer has an amber body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is moutig with a bitter dry afther tast.

Choos (507) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - JUL 6, 2006
Aroma: initially some perfumy notes followed some malt and a little sharpness. Appearance: amber red and hazy with a big tan head made from large bubbles. Flavour: sweet malt with a hint of mocha and lots of stone fruit (complimentary to the perfumy notes in the aroma.) Palate: medium mouthfeel and leaves a slight mochery aftertaste.

CEZ (391) - Milano, ITALY - SEP 10, 2007
Deep amber body, good beige head. Yeasty and wine aroma tempered by sweet apricot and grapes notes. The taste adds malty sweetness and licorice. Tastes a bit thinner but the balance is good. Spicy and drinkable, with a good hoppy and slightly bitter finish. Nice winter warmer.
