Good orange-coloured head; orange-amber clear beer. Cookie malts, orange zeste, flowery nose. Some say cinnamon, but I donít get that. Fresh, orangey taste, unfortunately ruined at least partially by a ton of coriander. Very dry, falls a bit flat. Better than the regular Gribousine (not that hard!), but not really exciting.

Bottle @ Delirium Cafe. Tastes of Jolly Ranger apple candy. Fruitty but really not candy sweet, just the light flavor. Nothing Iíd get twice.

Perhaps there are a number of beers like this that all present the same good qualities but donít have the edge over a lot of others that can really define this as another special Belgian. Good qualities as expected in a finely crafted beer of its ilk, spiciness and some fine fruity esters. Caramel and plum pudding in the aftertaste and good balance.

Commissioned winter ale with light beige head and misty amber colour. Aroma of pear, brown sugar, marzipan, ginger and flowery hops; sweet fruity taste, caramelly and lightly nutty, quite thin mouthfeel and dito finish with some aromatic hops. Nice aroma but not enough body to be a truly good beer, whether winter or not.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2008 Bottled at Kerstbierfestival 2007. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and fruit as well as lighter notes of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of spices and fruit, leading to a dry spicy finish. The body is thin, and the beer is a bit boring.
