COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Grieskirchner Pilsner is the flagship of the brewery Gries churches. Anyone who has tasted the bitter delicate hop aroma once, will not easily be persuaded to an alternative.

Through its delicately tart hop aroma is very digestible. The Grieskirchner brewers affectionately call it their "Zechbier".

Bottle. Light golden colour with a weak thin white head. Aroma of grasses and hops. Taste is typical mass-produced Pilsner.

Pours a clear gold body with a one finger frothy white head. The nose is typical Euro lager, light pale malt, slight DMS, minimal hoppiness, and a bit of doughiness. The flavor isn’t the cleanest Pilsner, but it’s not bad, especially for being a green bottle Pils. It could use a bit more hoppiness, but it’s still quite drinkable. Light bodied and easy drinking with soft carbonation. Meh, much better than expected.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours clear yellow, one finger quick white head. Very little lacing and not much retention. Aroma of bread and hay. Taste is slightly bitter mostly sweet pilsner malt. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, thin mouth feel. Finishes slightly bitter and dry. Tasting notes of biscuit, herbs, grass and slight green bottle skunk. Not bad but nothing special.

Interesting that they call it bitter. It did taste a bit Heinekiny and wasnt as enjoyable as a German pils.

Bottle. Pale gold, half an inch of foamy head. Doughy malt aroma, not much hop aroma despite the label! Medium high carb. Rich sweet bread malt, some chalky notes, sulphur, soft bitterness.

Bottle brought back home from Austria. The beer has got a clear light golden colour with low head and medium to crisp body. Aroma of hops and grass. Taste of mild hops, mild citrus fruits, grass and hay. Medium bitterness with a relatively high carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink, yet nothing special.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2014 0,33l bottle. I’m not a big fan of Pils, too dry and bitter and therefore not very drinkable

Aroma: wow, no skunk out of the bottle despite green bottling! Amazing. Not much to smell here until it’s poured into the glass where the unmistakable and pleasing aroma of noble hops becomes apparent. There is also a bit of grass. Flavor: again pretty mild at first, but then there is a little hop bitterness in the finish. Very clean. Reminded me a little of Warsteiner, but a little more refined, if not quite as flavorful or popcorn-y. Nice pils. Took a risk getting a six-pack of these without sampling beforehand, but I’m glad I did. Will work very well for the summer especially.

Bottle. Clear, pale golden body, with a big, frothy, white head. Aroma of grains, hay, grass, honey. Taste is a bit watery, with grains, bread, herbs, honey. Mouthfeel is light, slick, with a low carbonation and it finishes medium bitter, with grains and herbs. Average Pilsener, nothing special.
