On tap (Cafe Abseits, Bamberg): Golden, slightly lacing white head, very aromatic hoppy nose; strong bitter-seet flavour, medium bodied; lingering and lingering and lingering aromatic hoppy finish, supported by pale malt. Great, great stuff..........

Pours a clear and light amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt and some hops with grass. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness. Overall an average beer.

Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma is malt, grass and fruity notes. Flavour follows the nose.

(500ml bottle thanks to blutt59) clear pale yellow with a thick creamy head. Nose of butter, sugar, grain. Taste of butter, earth, cracker. Soft, but abundant carbonation. Decent linger.

Bottle... Hazy yellow lager with a large, foamy, white head. Excellent retention. The bouquet is an interesting mix of honey, peppery hops and freshly baked sugar cookie. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and measured carbonation. Biscuit and honey sweetness is countered by a generous, grassy hop bill. Finishes moderately bitter and tongue-numbing.

Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of malt, grain, hay and bread crust. Dryish malty flavour with notable herbal and grassy hops and a good bitter finish. A bit of yeasty notes

Bottle @ Odense Summer Tasting, 2011. Purchased @ Cafe Abseits, Bamberg. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy white head and lacings. Malty nose and flavor. Cereal, grain and a bit of alcohol. Vague dust but still pretty nice. Quite hoppy.

Im hopfigen Antrunk scheint sich das Bier behutsam an seine Stärke heranzutasten, im Mittelteil wird er dann deutlich intensiver und stark hopfenbitter. Lange bleibt das Bier so hell, der Hopfen steigert sich dabei noch weiter, bis die daraus resultierende Bitterkeit an seinen noch angenehme Grneze stößt. Dann ein wenig dunkelmalzig, wenn auch nur kurz. Spitzer Bock für Freunde herausstehender Bitterkeit. 8/12/11/12//12

(500ml bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, florals, straw, and citrus. Flavor of grass, grain, and some metallic with a dry, moderately bitter finish.

Quite cloudy. Big thick head. The aroma is very spicy, with nice bread notes. Fresh, almost IPA-like. Full malts, sweet mellow fruity hops. Great stuff - I really like this one. Does this get too yeasty in the finish? Maybe for some, but I’m down.

bottle @ Cafe Abseits autumn 2010. Honey-hazed and scattered lace with patterns.Aroma is kit beer-yeasty. Granular nutty palate. A bit too yeasty and kit-beer like for me, but is dry, tickles the tongue, and is nice overall.
