pivo (2540) - GERMANY - MAR 20, 2005
Slight drainpipe nose, grainy and citrus, also like an herbal tea mix. Hazy pale khaki color with a low sticky scumy head. Quick sweet apple malt immediately gives ay to a very bitter hop flavor. Stings like an unripe grapefruit. Grassy, like rocket or a dandelion. Thin body so the hops really come through. One dimensional - all hop bitter - but kinda fun. Like an IPA. Probably the hoppiest German beer I’ve ever had.

rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2005
Bottle, at Café Abseits in Bamberg. Jan 2005. Hazy gold, fluffy white head and gentle condition. Sweet yeast and peppery hop dominated aromas, softly yeasty in the mouth with some solid hoppiness and a background nutty malt note. Lingering hop bitter finish with a hint of hazelnuts at the end.

omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 11, 2005
Bottled. Cloudy yellow. Aroma of fresh barley and herbal spices. These aromatic flavours lingers from nose to finish, where also a hefty dose of hops sets in, creating a massively bitter finish. The mouthfeel is soft, and the body is light. A world class kellerbier, if you can tolerate all the bitterness.

bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JUN 28, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2005 Blonde and cloudy. Slight lemon aroma, somewhat flowery. Fine hopbitter flavor with a hint of lemon and a hint of glue. Hopbitter aftertaste. Well made and tasty kellerbier, lightyears away from more industrial brews. Pale color, slightly cloudy. Fresh cheese aroma. Hoppy flavor with fresh cheese and citrus. Hoppy, oily aftertaste. there is a lot of character and even some brett character in this kellerbier.

jonas (4601) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 28, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2006 Citric yeast aroma and fine aromahops. Orange/yellow with yeast in suspension and a big white frothy head. Medium body, sweet malt and wild honey, fantastic hop balance dominated by aromahops, dry herbal finish with a added yeasty earthnotes. Sparkly dry mouthfeel.
