UPDATED: MAY 11, 2011 Cask, The Griffin Inn, Shustoke. Lagery paleness speckled with lace. Tangy green aroma, wring of dishcloth. Spiky, juicy hops hinting at orange and gooseberry (Goldings?), wrapped in earthy and biscuity malt. Sappy Geranium greeness, dry hop finish. Echoes of Orval. I’m slightly stunned. Dry, hoppy and clean without the ubiquitous US grapefruity thing. Quite an original, tangily hopped pale bitter.
