Some Belgian blondes seem to be a little underdone and lack substance. This one is a Kim Cliister’s style of blonde with a good presence and assertiveness that even an Aussie would like to have go down, the gullet. Good strawberry blonde rather than a whitey with fine balance of hop and malt. certainly some fruit in there with both fresh and dessicated styles and a dryness too that satisfies.

One year after expiration this beer is still excellent. Full of taste and a nice smell.

Had in Bottle in Blois, France. REALLY didn’t care for it what’s so ever. Wheat. fruit....not the worst...but come on now, who’s shooting for that?

50cl can: This beer has a dark golden color to it, with maybe a hint of orange. There is a strong white head. There is a somewhat sweet aroma, with hints of yeast and spices. The taste is along the same lines. A bit of citrus also. It is a bit more than medium bodied. Comperable to Leffe.

Draught: My first beer on my BelgianBeerTour2004. Orange/golden coloured. Off white lasting and huge head. Is yeasty, sweet and malty in the nose. Some yeast, fruit and malt in the flavour. Notes of spices. Has a dry citrus finish. Nice starter.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2006 Can. Sweet spicy orange and wheat aroma. Clear amber with nice big head. Clove, orange, and wheat flavor with hint of cherry. Slight hint of hops in the finish. Moderate acidity and mild carbonation. This is a re-rate for me - apparently I got a bad bottle the last time as it was bland and boring. Glad I gave it another try,

Looks ordinary, but has a great, complex aroma of sweetness, yeast and fruit. Taste is a bit disappointing, with too much alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2004 Bottle. Golden w. nice head. Found this pretty complex - especially the aroma: sweet, vanilla, youghurt, little wheaty w. banana and acidity, even some light lambic-barnyard tones. Nice blonde.

Gold beer, white head. A little disappointing taste. Tastes almost like pilsener with more alcohol.
