Pours a clear copper color with a medium-sized whitish head. very pilsener-looking. Aroma is of faint hops and pilsener malts, maybe a little peach too. Flavor has a little generic fruitiness, straw/grasses, more apple toward the end. Crisp finish, lighter density for the style. Overall, good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Enjoyed from an 11.2oz bottle in a hexagonal pub glass. The beer pours a medium golden color with a moderate white head. Carbonation is on target, for the style. The nose gives strong hints that the strain of yeast used was that made famous by Chimay. Strong notes of grain, along with slight pear, and earthy tones. The palate is almost an exact replica of Leffe Blonde, which, given the latter’s standing within the BJCP, is a plus. Pilsner sweetness up front, followed by a just barely balancing hop presence, and the same yeast-derived esters. Overall, not entirely life-changing, but well-crafted and certainly worth a higher rating than many of those viewed.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 sound67 (223) - Offenbach, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2009
33cl bottle, as shown. Clear golden yellow colour, thick, bubbly white head with good lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and some herbs. Medium body and carbonation, smooth mouth feel. Taste of yeast, some citrus fruit and more spicy herbs, with medium bitter finish and slightly sour after taste. A refreshing, but not bland, blonde - for once,. the above-average alcohol is well integrated and the brew not too sweet. More sessionable than other Belgian ales. If only the bottles weren’t so tiny!
