COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ochre coloured top fermented Abbey Beer with an abv of 6.7%. The use of Gatinais barley combined with carefully selected hops creates a perfectly balanced, relatively light tasting beer with a fruity malty taste.

It’s been awhile since I enjoyed a refreshing Belgian blonde, so this was easy to drink on a hot afternoon. The aroma is sweet, fruity and some yeast. Dried fruit, grassy bitterness, sweet with an alcohol bite to it. Color is golden yellow with a large pillowy head. Nice lacing.

Color of wet wheat. Not much head retention. Cane sugar, yeast, and light fruits in the nose. Some apple and apricot in the sweet-malty taste over a medium mouthfeel. It’s a nice beer if slightly cloying.

NIMBLE BENDER GROG ! This beer smacks of gold.. Its gold colour and smooth texture. Few bubbles and barely any head. The first taste is lagery but going down it hints at more. Very drinkable, perhaps too so at the 6.7% strength. Needs perhaps to do more though and eminently a bit sweet

Dåse: Gul klar øl med et lille skumhoved. Let parfumeret i duften, men meget parfumeret i smagen. Helt over i en trippel type, dog med for lidt alkohol til helt at klassificeres sådan. Men faktisk rigtig udmærket tørstslukker.

Bottle sharted with pete’s girlfriend megan. Pours a clear light gold with massive white head. Skunky corn aroma. Flavor is grassy, residual sweetness, floral hop light bitterness. Not unplerasant, but weird for a belgian blonde. Overly sweet finish.

Bottle at the local before dinner. Not much of a nose but what I could smell....other than the copious ammount of wings wafting from the kitchen was some spice and a bit of grassy malt. Served in its own branded chalice, it is a piece of work to behold. Crystal clear golden with a intricate lace doily of a head that swirls as if on a gentle current round and round the wide glass. Nose hints of malt and yeast. Mouthfeel brings more of the same.. yeatyness morphs into a gentle tangy spice that slowly decent for an even decreasing finish....I should have had two of these.

Bottle, also at the Pizzahut. Nice presentation whith a golden colour, and a little white head that lasts. The smell was very weak: I almost smelled nothing in the beer (even the nail polish of the girls in front of me overwhelmed the smell of the bear), but when I did my best I smelled a hoppy beer (like you have of every lager beer). The taste started little hoppy and grainy, and went over in a woody taste with a very specific salty aftertaste. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad beer, but I already drunk (much) better beer - even in the same style. And I confirm: the beer matches perfect with the ’Grimbergen Cheese Pizza’.

bottle@ "the pizzahut" .. maybe not the ideal place to drink and rate a beer. Nice presentation: golden colour with nice stable white head. Smells a bit fruity, hoppy. Taste: watery, grainy, hoppy. Nothing very special. The pizza with ’grimbergen’ cheese was good!
