Ochre coloured top fermented Abbey Beer with an abv of 6.7%. The use of Gatinais barley combined with carefully selected hops creates a perfectly balanced, relatively light tasting beer with a fruity malty taste.

Draught. Pours golden, with decent and durable head. Honey aroma, with citrus notes, and similar on the palate, though with a slightly metallic hint. Decent enough, but nothing exceptional.

500 ml can. Medium gold color, head disappeared quickly. Sweet, slightly fruity aroma. Mostly malt. Taste is similar. This is not all that interesting. A bit strong, decent hopping and ok fruit, but pretty bland. OK, but nothing special and not much different from other mass-produced Abbey blondes.

Golden color with a nice White head that start pretty and goes fast, keeping a lace. Aroma is fruity with citric notes like Orange. Flavor is a little bit citric and sweet medium carbonation, very tasteful. Mouthfeel is dry and long..

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2009 slightly darkish golden color, very carbonated, starts with a sweet note, with a great clean finish. Typical clove pine needle flavor that most belgian beers have. not my thing, although I could drink it.

beerbill (2850) - Laurel, New York, USA - NOV 19, 2008
11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with lots of carbonation bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate white head that lasted through two-thirds of the glass and left a coating of foam with each sip. Mild aroma of belgian yeast and sugar. The flavor is mild yeast and malt followed by sugary sweetness and a bit of grass. Virtually no bitterness at the finish.

Bottle 33cl. Pours a clear golden colour with good carbonation and a good size head. Smell is wheaty and spicy, but is very fresh and inviting. Taste is also wheaty but can also taste some fruits and is a bit sweet. Good balance and goes down very smooth.
