Was sold this beer with the promise that it was better than Leffe (my favorite session beer). Poured a golden amber. Not much aroma to speak of. Taste was tinny, very slight fruit. Bitterness was not bad, but just sort of unpleasant. Not impressed at all. Have another bottle, will re-rate if my experience is different with the next one. HOPSHUNTER (400), Tampa, Florida, USA

Smells of fruit and malt, somewhat tinny. Tastes very good, complex but well-balanced. Subtle hints of apple, banana, and peach. Good malt blend extremely smooth an easy to drink. Very nice! detroitsteel (233), Greater London, England

Initial impression was of fruit, strawberries & cream and malt. Long sweet finish. Very palatable. DruncanVeasey (2770), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England

Piss-pale pour topped momentarily with comical bathsuds. Nose of tin and banana. Thin and papery with touches of sherbet, wheat, banana and metal. Sweet, fruity and metallic with the vaguest nibble of parting bitterness. Possibly contains alcohol. Leffe-lite. tarjei (1762), Bryne, Norway

Big, lovley, creamy white head. Fruit, wheat and some sourness in aroma. Flavor is yeast, sweet malt, hops, fruit (banana), a bit sour, nice bitterness. Balanced, easy drinking beer for a evening at the balcony. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2007 I ran into this beer everywhere in Amsterdam. It is very much a standard in "Belgian Blond" flavor. Mungo (2473), Southampton, Hampshire, England

Better than the Dubbel although it has the same cheap tinny malt and grainyness. Strangely enough its more noticeable here, as its not masked by masses of toffee, but is less offputting in this beer. Other than the fairly poor malts there is some fruity fermentation flavours and a mild sweetness which lead into a reasonably drinkable finish with just a touch of bitterness. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Sampled on Flashy’s tour of Brugge in June 2007 - Quite nice. Fruity and sweet and got a bit of that Leffe bubblegum taste, but a bit more watery and paler in colour than the great one.
