COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ochre coloured top fermented Abbey Beer with an abv of 6.7%. The use of Gatinais barley combined with carefully selected hops creates a perfectly balanced, relatively light tasting beer with a fruity malty taste.

I remember the first time I had this. Not so good I remember the first time, I just remember being thrown out of a bar in Paris. I agree with the bloke below, very drinkable but there are much better beers of this style. Decent but like my report card, could do better.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours clear gold with 2 cm foamy off white head that is slowly diminishing. Aromas of orange, spice and yeast are balanced. Initial flavor is mostly citrus. Dry and slightly bitter aftertaste that is moderately lasting. Good lacing, light carbonation, light to medium body, and light hints of alcohol. Drinkable but better available options exist.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear golden yellow to orange with a huge slight off-white and collapsing head. Malt and yeasty spiced aroma. Classic belgian yeast flavour, light citrus fruity and spiced. In addition a malt note and a decent bitterness is available, almost pilsner like. Ends nicely bitter and dry.

Pours a clear, golden-honey with a thick layer of white head. Aroma is of of yeast, fruit and biscuity undertones. Taste is a little bit of fruit and yeast with that same biscuit flavor to offset the tart fruit flavors. It’s a decent blonde but not at the top of my list.

This is pretty good, clean golden colour, with a good white head. Quite sweet but nicely balanced, has a good long finish. The highish alcohol has the desired affect but isn’t overpowering. Your local Tesco should have this.

Appearance: golden to orange color. Medium head, white, lasting and adherent to glass. Aroma: malts smells and wheat’ reminiscences. Citric touches similar to oranges and pineapple’s aromas. Yeast; citric and herbal hoppy. Flavor: persistent pale malts and some wheat’ reminiscences. Citric-sweet fruitiness like tangerines, papayas and pineapples in syrup. Sugar and slight homey note. Low hoppy taste with light metallic touch. Palate: medium body and semi-oily texture. Light to medium carbonation. Slightly unbalanced, the final alcoholic degree make up the start sweetness. Nice fruity touch.

Bottle, bought @ SuperBrugsen, Billund. Pours a very pale golden with a slight haze in the centre. A smallish bubbly white head on top with some lacing. Aroma is sweetish with som yeast, biscuit and light fruity tartness. Rather nice mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Flavour is light metallic, some exotic fruits and a nice zesty tartness. A touch of bitterness. An okay tripel, but there are so many better ones...

Dark golden colour with an average, creamy white head, mostly lasting and with good lacing. The aroma is malty with light notes of toasted grain. Flavor has alcohol, candi-sugar, hops and fruits. The finish has some sweetness and some bitterness.
